Interview With The Chicago Roots Collective
A few weeks ago I got a email from Danny Surico of The Future Laureates asking if I’d like to do some coverage of The Chicago Roots Collective’s 3rd Annual Showcase. I was more than happy to oblige, as the list of great music happening at this event was staggering. Trying to figure out how I wanted to approach this behemoth, I decided that a round table discussion would be best so that we could involve as many people as possible. What we ended up with was a great ensemble of fantastic musicians. Due to my “We’ll do it live!” mentality when it comes to interviewing, I didn’t prepare too much. I think it went pretty well and I really only let it get away from me for one question. So enjoy this interview. I found it pretty interesting and I really enjoyed talking with all these folks.
