Dream Loud Benefit Concert at Cubby Bear May 24th

Supplies For Dreams and Moxie Rock Management are teaming up next Saturday night to throw a benefit rock show with all proceeds going toward Chicago Public Schools. Supplies For Dreams is a non-profit group that raises money to help keep kids in school and help them get all the items they need to earn a degree. A worthwhile cause in the third-largest school system in the United States. They have some pretty heartbreaking statistics over on their website if you wanna check it out.

But let’s not spend too much time talking about the gloomy aspect, and get to the good stuff. Five local bands will be performing at Cubby Bear on May 24th for the low cost of $10 (or $8 if you buy in advance-EVEN LOWER COST!). That’s a maximum of $2 per band! That’s a tough price to beat in the city. Hell, you can’t even go to the movies for that-and most theaters don’t sell alcohol or provide you with a view of the nation’s most recognizable baseball park.

Newly formed rock power trio Jose & Me will be featured, along with Common Shiner, Cellrs, The Holy Motors, and The Dead Hands.

You can pick up your tickets online here. If you don’t like rock and roll, that’s cool. You can just donate straight to Supplies For Dreams by going to their website. Either way, please consider contributing to the future of our society-and if you want to party and hear some good music as a bonus, this is a great opportunity.
