Video Premiere-In Rooms “Terraces”

It’s been almost a year since Heather and Nick Leo put out the In Rooms record The Night Has Come. They’ve kept busy it seems, as today they are premiering a brand new video for their song “Terraces.” Shot down in Puerto Rico, the clip cuts together like a montage of a trip you have no recollection of taking. It’s a great achievement of marrying audio and visuals together, as they tie in perfectly with one another.

The song, like many tunes from In Rooms, feels old and familiar but brand new all the same. This one mixes the slow meandering guitar of Neil Young’s “Harvest” with the dreamy vocals of Camera Obscura. It’s a gorgeous combination, and Heather’s voice drifts above the guitar like a feather floating from note to note.

The single is available to download as well. You can get it for whatever price you see fit on the In Rooms bandcamp page (where you’ll also find The Night Has Come which is worth every penny of the small asking price).

A short tour will commence on July 10th, taking the band from Vaudeville Mews in Des Moines all the way up here to Chicago on July 12th at Cafe Mustache! They’ll be playing with Bora Bora and Rough Magic. The show starts at 8pm and there is no cover, so if you’re in Chicago next Saturday night your plans have been made for you. You’re welcome.
