Fearing for my life, I bailed on Perfect Pussy’s set after 5 songs. Nothing wrong with their performance, but I’m old enough to know that I can’t hang with a bunch of teenagers moshing. After a slight delay due to some sound issues (only a minute or two) about a thousand people who I assume had been laying on blankets during the sleepy but wonderful Mutual Benefit show came up and launched their bodies onto the backs of those around me. At that point, I knew I wouldn’t be long for this world.

I can still hear them playing, and Meredith Graves is no doubt keeping the fans frenzied through the rest of their 8 or 9 song set (guessing after seeing the list from afar).
It’s really more of a sonic assault on your brain, closer to the true punk of the late 70’s as opposed to most post-punkers of today. If you like having your ears ringing and body exhausted, go check them out!
