I really like Ultimate Painting. Last year their self-titled debut LP landed inside my top 50 albums of 2014 and I couldn’t wait to hear more from them. Now they’re back with a new single. It’s off the new record Green Lanes due out in August.

They don’t break too far from the sound on their first LP, but when it’s such a pleasant noise I don’t really mind. They have a laid back vibe with sparse drums and slack guitar work. It’s a bit repetitive, but never gets old.
