I wasn’t able to make it out to day one of Riot Fest at Douglas Park, but Kari was there to take pictures and snapped some great ones of Gwen Stefani and No Doubt. The Anaheim natives weren’t high on my list of bands I wanted to see, but all the accounts I’ve heard make it sound like I missed a good time. A “Hella Good” time, if you will. Here’s a setlist from the show: Hella Good, It’s My Life, Underneath It All, Ex-Girlfriend, Happy Now?, Hey Baby, Sparkle, New, Simple Kind Of Life, Excuse Me Mister, Sunday Morning, Bathwater, Don’t Speak, Just A Girl, Spiderwebs (Encore)
I never got in to Coheed And Cambria, although I did rock out to that song they had on Rock Band. I know the newest record isn’t a concept album (for once), so maybe I’ll give it a listen at some point.
I’m probably most upset I missed Flogging Molly. Not a huge fan, but I know they put on a good show and these pics make me think I probably should’ve called in sick to work.
