The Thermals brought fellow Portland-based rockers Summer Cannibals along for their current tour, and a better opener I could not have picked myself. I’d only heard a couple tracks by the quartet before seeing them live, but the energy they were giving off was more than enough to make up for my lack of knowledge. Most of the songs they played were off their upcoming Kill Rock Stars release, Full Of It, which comes out May 27th.

Singer/guitarist Jessica Boudreaux played double duty on the night, returning to the stage with Hutch, Kathy, and Westin to play lead guitar on a The Body, The Blood, The Machine-heavy set.
