It’s been a few years since Jens Lekman‘s last album, but he’s starting early in 2017 with the first single “What’s That Perfume That You Wear?” This is the first single from his forthcoming Life Will See You Now, out February 17th on Secretly Canadian. If this is a signal of things to come on that record, it will be a very different sound than Lekman’s last release. This song has a decidedly island feel, with steel drums ringing through the background.

The video has some neat elements and the colors really pop on screen. As Lekman sings about reminders of lost love, people remove items from an apartment and Vespa-riding dancers break it down in the chorus.
