I stood in a group of people who were really nice while waiting for the headlining act to take the stage. One guy from the east coast was a collector of concert photographs, so I gave him my card. One of the other guys was telling us how he had planned to surprise his girlfriend with a ticket so she could see LCD Soundsystem for the first time. At the last second before he was going to tell her, she let him know that she had just bought a ticket herself. And then there was the goofball in front of us whose wild dancing eventually led me to leave that spot and head out for the night.

These pictures aren’t great, but given how far back I was and the tall people with their hands in the air through most of the songs, they’re ok.
