Gloom Balloon-“Brush My Teeth” Video Premiere

The third (and possibly last) Gloom Balloon album came out a while ago. Patrick Tape-Fleming made videos for all the songs, so he’s sitting on some great stuff and I’m relieving him of another great clip. Previously I premiered the video for “Alone In My Head,” which featured the singer spinning on a merry-go-round. “Brush My Teeth” does not show Patrick at all; instead it stars comedian Neil Hamburger!

Here’s what Patrick had to say about the song:

“Brush My Teeth” is one of my favorite songs on the album. It’s all about being so in cloud of love that you forget to do those simple things in life, like brush your teeth. This can be to your benefit, cause then you might still have the taste of said love in your mouth! I’m a big time germaphobe so it takes a lot for me to say, “I never want to be clean again.”

When I played this song for people.. they all thought I was making a big joke, by saying, “Your as dirty as the south, and I never want to be clean again.” I didn’t think it was a joke, I thought it was the most romantic thing I have ever written!

So just to make sure I was taken seriously, I asked “America’s Funny Man,” Neil Hamburger to be in the music video for the song. Even the greatest comedians with dirty mouths occasionally have to brush their teeth.

Drying The Eyes Of The Goddess Of Gloom, Underneath The Stars And The Moon is one of my favorite records of 2017. I would gladly premiere all the videos if Patrick asked me to do so. For now, enjoy the video and pick up a copy of the record if you haven’t already.
