Odetta Hartman at Schubas 10/27/18

For the second time in two months Odetta Hartman graced a stage in Chicago to deliver some of her incredible tunes to a new audience. Filling her set with songs from her latest album, Old Rockhounds Never Die, she took a crowd that was mostly three sheets to the wind and blew them all away.

Unlike her previous show here she entered dramatically, walking through the middle of the audience playing her violin. From there she moved to guitar on stage before displaying her skill as a banjo virtuoso.

If you like what you hear above, I would urge you to buy her records and check out the songs on her bandcamp page that haven’t been added to streaming services like Spotify yet. She’ll continue opening shows for Ballroom Thieves through December and then head over to Europe for a run in February. Follow Odetta on Facebook to keep up with new music and tour dates.
