Cherry Glazerr at Bottom Lounge 2/23/19

I first saw Cherry Glazerr a couple years ago at Pitchfork Music Festival. It was raw and powerful, with the same energy that makes their Apocalipstick album so great. They’re on the road again supporting their latest, Stuffed & Ready, which picks up right where they left off.

Clementine Creevy matches her ability as a singer/songwriter with her prowess for performance. Her charisma leaps off the stage and energizes everyone in the crowd. Whether she’s blasting her way through a heavy guitar solo or quietly exorcising her demons, the audience can’t look away.

The songs on the new album feel a little more polished, and this performance had the same kind of vibe. I would guess it has something to do with the confidence in the songs being good enough to carry the show without having to show off. Having been with her current bassist and drummer for a couple years helps the music shine as well.

Cherry Glazerr is heading to the west coast before going overseas so you still have time to catch a show if you’re in any of the areas they’ll be hitting. Check out their website for all the info!
