If you want the quick version of my thoughts on seeing Moon Kissed live for the first time, here ya go: I bought a vinyl and a shirt after their set. For someone in my financial situation that is, quite honestly, a reckless financial choice. However, I enjoyed their performance so much, and already spent a lot of time listening to them on Spotify where they get no money, that I felt they deserved the money more than I do. Plus the shirt is sweet.
A few months ago I wrote about the group’s single, “Bubblegum,” which is a great pop track you should definitely know. I had no idea who they were before hearing that song, but it made me excited for their album. I’d Like To Tell You Something Important is out now, and it is very, very good. It’s a blend of rock and pop sounds featuring lots of synths and drums, not unlike Olivia Rodrigo’s Sour, minus all the blatant use of other musicians work.
They’ve only got one show left on this run of tour dates, but I’d be willing to bet they will be back on the road soon. If you like having fun, I would recommend checking them out when they hit your town.
