It’s been over a decade since I first saw Dan Mangan perform at the recommendation of a friend with similar taste in music. Caught a set at Schubas that was a truly beautiful night of song, capped by a sing-a-long to his big hit at the time, “Robots.”

Since then, the Canadian songwriter has toured the world and won a couple JUNO awards for his work. The end of next month will see the release of his sixth studio album, Being Somewhere.
