2026 has begun with a lot of negativity (most of which is carried over from the constant negativity of 2025 that started right around January 20th). Finally, we’ve received some light to shine through the darkness with the new single from the Copenhagen-based artist, Calby.

“Deeper Love” is a reminder of the joys to be had with a great partner. There is no greater feeling than moving through life knowing that your love is being reciprocated. It’s certainly worth singing about.

The song is unlike anything I’ve heard from other Danish artists I’ve covered. The music is upbeat and features big swells of strings, but keeps to the background enough to let the vocals take center stage. His voice is deep and pleasant, making me want to listen over and over.
