Falldown-“I Will Go” (VIDEO)

Just before Thanksgiving last year, I had the chance to catch Falldown at Martyrs for their record release show. They played a great set and did a good job of changing things up and holding the interest of the audience. Everyone in the band is also a member of some other Chicago group, so this is kind of a side project for them, though I don’t think anyone in Falldown treats it as such. The music is a nice americana blend of country/bluegrass/folk//pop that can generally squeeze all four genres into one song.

Their newest single, “I Will Go,” just got a video release over at No Depression last wee. This is a stand-alone song, so it isn’t off their last record. The sound does continue where “Steal Again” left off, so it’s an easy transition from that release to this one.

Check out the video below. If you dig it and you’re in Chicago, you can check out one of the shows they have coming up. Friday October 4th they’ll be at Tonic Room with The Crane Wives. Wednesday October 16th they’re playing at aliveOne on Halsted. And finally Saturday November 2nd they’ll perform at the Old Town School of Folk Music. All pertinent info can be found on the bands website.
