Last night I got to see one of my local favorites, The Roalde Dahls, headline at House Of Blues and they did not disappoint. I don’t know why, but for some reason a few years ago I started listening to more and more synth-pop and these guys really hit a sweet spot for me. Their latest EP, MKIII, is available now and you should definitely check it out.

It had been a while since the last time I saw them play live. They seem to have worked really hard on their live show because it wasn’t as loose as their show at Abbey Pub. There was still a lot of fun, with Dylan Flynn providing a good amount of laughter between songs. He even came out in a wig for the first song (beard is real, though). They played tight, with Nikko Paoulos and Esteban Martinez equalling Flynn in energy throughout the set.
