Other than The Roalde Dahls, I wasn’t really familiar with anyone playing at House Of Blues last Thursday. Matthew Morgan was playing with a new group (not The Brigade), The Ivorys I had heard of but never listened to, and another band I’d never heard of from out of town. Chicago’s Armitage was a mystery to me, and it was a great surprise that I found wholly enjoyable. It’s a guitar-heavy alt/indie rock featuring a very good singer and an energetic guitar player that never stood in one spot for longer than he absolutely had to.
